The situation will be revisited later in January.

Where we meet

We meet as a church family at St Peter’s Church, Ashley Road, Hale on Sundays at 8:30am, 10:00am and 6:30pm. We also have lots of activities and groups throughout the week for all ages! Click here for more info.

How to find us

We have accessible parking on site and there is a large inexpensive car park not far away. St. Peter’s is also within walking distance of the bus stop and train station. Click here for more information. If you need help getting to church please call us.

What to wear

Wear whatever you like. Some people will dress casually and others will go for a smarter look but we have no dress code, you’re welcome as you are!

Who can come

Everyone. You are welcome at any of our services. Each has a slightly different style, click here to find out more and see which of our services you think would suit you best. The 10:00am service is probably best if you’d like to bring the whole family.

Remembrance 2020

Remembrance 2020

Finding another way Last year, as we gathered in church for our annual Act of Remembrance, John Hawker playing The Last Post and Reveille from the choir stalls to mark our two-minute silence, who could have imagined that this year we’d be in such a different place?...

St Peter's garden update

At our March PCC meeting members agreed to explore developing our gardens at St Peter’s to become more of a community resource. We already have a new memorial garden planned on the church’s south side, but there is scope to revisit the design of the lawn area. We’d like to create a special peace and prayer garden where visitors can come to sit quietly and pray, or take time out of their busy schedules. We have a small sub-group looking more closely at the possibilities and they will come back to the PCC with a suggested plan. If you have any thoughts or suggestions please contact one of the church wardens who can put you in touch with a member of our gardening team.

Keeping in touch during COVID-19

During the lockdown we have been continuing to worship together online, using the St Peter’s Hale Facebook page: But we appreciate that not everybody has access to Facebook or wants to use it. We are sending out details of upcoming services and other news by email, along with copies of service sheets for those who would like to join us in spirit but not online. If you know of anyone who has slipped through the net and who would welcome being kept in touch by phone or email, please let Claire or Maxine in the parish office know. Services during lockdown are live-streamed on Sundays and Wednesdays at 2pm and are available to watch later.

Helpers Wanted

When illness or infirmity stops members of our church family from joining us at our services, they don’t get forgotten. We have a friendly team of volunteer pastoral visitors who will call in to say hello, and can arrange for home communion to be distributed.  We are always looking for new members to join us and we’re looking to appoint a new co-ordinator.

Morning Prayer

Joining in Morning Prayer together at 8:30am on weekdays continues on Zoom while public worship is restricted.

If you would like to join St Peter’s Morning Prayer on your phone or computer, please let the office have your email address so you can be added to the email invitation each day – then join if you are free.

The invitation is blind-copied to recipients so your privacy is respected. You don’t need the Zoom app: you just click on the email link.
