The Big Breakfast
Come and enjoy good food and good company and hear an interesting speaker. People of all ages are welcome; so invite your friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.
These gatherings are held throughout the year on a Saturday morning, in the Small Hall, St Peter’s Assembly Rooms, Cecil Road, Hale, from 8:15am till 9:30am. Breakfast – full English with fruit juice and tea or coffee – costs £7. Our guest speakers always give us plenty to think about. If you would like to recommend a guest speaker (or be one yourself) please email Michael Moore (see below) as we would be delighted to hear from you. Help before and/or after an event is appreciated.
At approximately 8:25am everyone is seated, the breakfasts are served and grace is said. At 9am a speaker gives a talk for 15 to 20 minutes on their chosen subject, followed by a question and answer session. The entire breakfast finishes promptly at 9:30am.
We usually finish the year with a surplus of donations (once we have covered our food costs) and this is donated to one local and one overseas charity.

Church Women’s Fellowship
The Church Women’s Fellowship (CWF) is a thriving group of almost 50 members. We serve God in church through our five principles of Fellowship, Worship, Service, Study and Giving. We are supportive of each other, but also look out to the community. Each year we raise money for a charity or cause through our regular meetings, a coffee morning and a ploughman’s lunch.
We come together most months for a meeting with a speaker, and we cover a wide range of topics. Our meetings are held in the Veranda Room at St Peter’s House at 7.15pm for 7.30pm on the first Monday of the month, and are friendly and relaxed. New members are always welcome. We would love to see you there!

Ploughman’s Lunches
Everyone welcome. These gatherings are held ten times a year, usually on the first Saturday of the month, at St Peter’s Assembly Rooms, Cecil Road, Hale, from 12noon till 1pm. Lunch costs just £7 per person for soup, salad, homemade cake and coffee. Children under 10 free.
Our ploughman’s lunches are an integral part of Home Mission, on our own doorstep. We are enormously grateful for the support of those parish groups that undertake to host a lunch during the year, often in support of a charity of their choice. We especially note our appreciation of the young people from the Guides who assist with these Lunches.
For more information please contact Lesley Bell on 0161 980 7623.
Men’s Fella’ship
Open to men of all ages. It is a chance for men to get together socially, chat and get to know each other. So come and join us, and invite a friend, neighbour or colleague to come along too.
We run regular evening events such as bowling, boules, BBQs, curry nights, craft beer tasting and more. Please see below for details of this years’ activities.

We look forward to meeting you.
St Peter’s Rambling and Outdoor Society (SPROUTS)
We’d love for you to join SPROUTS – we’re a group of people who enjoy walking together. Each month a member of the group leads a walk of between four and six miles. The rambles usually take place on a Sunday, after the 10am service at St Peter’s, and occasionally include a pub lunch, but we often ask members to bring a packed lunch.
Sometimes walks take place on a Saturday so we can travel further afield or to have a longer walk. And we also enjoy an annual walking weekend away for the last few years and has a summer social and a Christmas party.
