Caretaker
(20+ hours a week, part time)
Caretaker required for our Assembly Rooms (Cecil Road, Hale, WA15 9NU). The building is a hub for church groups and local community groups.
Main duties:
- Opening and closing the building as required in accordance with hirers requirements.
- Arranging tables and chairs and other duties as required.
- Cleaning and maintenance.
- Duty Manager for parties and non-regular bookings.
The caretaker will be required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week to ensure core tasks are completed. Additional hours may be claimed with the completion of a timesheet.
Flexibility is essential in accordance with the day to day requirements of the use of the building, which will involve working out of normal hours (evenings and weekends).
Salary will be based on experience. This role would be ideal for a semi-retired person or part-time student living locally, or someone with DIY skills and previous caretaking experience.
The successful candidate must be at least 18 years old and be permitted to work in the UK. A DBS check will also be required.
