An Inclusive Church in the Heart of Hale

Our ‘Stay and Play’ group meets on a Monday morning from 10am to 11.30am (term time only), at St Peter’s House and is aimed at pre-school ages 0-4 years. Grandparents and carers also welcome. Toys, free-play, stories and nursery rhymes. Refreshments available.

The cost is £3 per session or £30 per term (or £15 per half term). Payment by cash or card accepted. (Formerly known as Little Fish).

This group runs at the same time as St Peter’s Bumps 2 Babies.

All pregnant mums, parents and carers with babies up to a year old are welcome for a ‘feet up’ and good fellowship. Please spread the word to your friends and neigbours. Questions? Contact lucynattrass@hotmail.com.

This group will run at the same time as St Peter’s Parent, Baby & Toddler Group. 

Junior Church takes place on the second and fourth Sunday in the month during the 10am service.

The format will be slightly different than before. The children will go to the back of church during the first hymn to meet the Junior Church leaders who will then take them across to St Peter’s House for a Bible story, singing activities and prayers. They will then return to church during the offertory hymn. We would like parents to stay in church and let the children go with the teachers.

All Junior Church leaders are all either current or former teachers and are DBS checked. There will be at least two leaders always present. If the group grows too large, we will ask for a parent’s help.

If you are able to help with Junior Church once a month, or even once every two months, we would love to have you join our team. All volunteers need to be DBS checked.

These are available at our 8.30am and 10am Sunday services. If you are a new family interested in this scheme, we would love to keep in touch, so please complete a Connect Card at the back of church and hand in to a member of the team.

If you are already collecting stamps, don’t forget to get your Attendance Card stamped at each service you attend. This can include Messy Church.

Music is an important part of life at St Peter’s, and we are very lucky that our services are enhanced by the musical skills of the very loyal and dedicated band of singers in our choir. Unfortunately our choir numbers are quite small and therefore very vulnerable when illness strikes or holiday time approaches. If you enjoy singing and can read music, have you thought about joining the choir?

The choir leads the singing weekly at the 10am Sunday Service. Are you unsure about a regular commitment? We would also welcome singers who might like to augment the choir for special services such as the Carol Service at Christmas, the Passiontide service before Easter and Choral Evensong on the first Sunday in the month.
