In aid of satellite broadcast charity SAT-7
Our Harvest Project this year is raising funds for the Christian satellite network SAT-7, which broadcasts to countries across the Middle East and North Africa where many Christians face persecution. At our All Age service on Sunday 3 October, Bishop John Hayden, a supporter of SAT-7 since its inception 25 years ago, showed us how important SAT-7’s work is in ‘making God’s love visible across the region’. SAT-7’s broadcasts have been, literally, a Godsend to Christians across the region for whom, all too often, worship must be an underground activity. This is especially the case at the moment in Afghanistan, where many worshippers, especially women, fear for their lives.
Please support our Harvest Project, which runs until 31 October. It costs just 50p to give one person access to SAT-7’s programmes for a whole year. What if we could give 4,000 people that opportunity through our fundraising?
Each Sunday through October the MiA team will have collection plates at the back of church for cash donations. Or you can give online via a BACS payment to the Mission in Action account. Please use the reference ‘SAT-7’.
For details of how to donate online, see the left-hand side of our Mission in Action home page.
