Vacancy for a new Verger

After six years of service Alice is leaving her role as Verger to
take a well-earned break. We thank her for her tireless
dedication and support, and wish her a time of great blessing.

We are now looking for someone to take on
this valuable role.

The duties of a verger include:

  • preparing the church for all services
  • supervising the practicalities of services
  • ensuring stocks of Communion wine, wafers, candles etc are up to date

The position of Verger at St Peter’s could be managed as a job share, so please consider if it is the role for you. If you would like to offer yourself for the position, or have any questions about it, please contact Judy or Lesley, our churchwardens. They would be delighted to talk to you.
