The Colours of the Church

WHY WE USE COLOURS

The colours seen in churches signify different Christian festivals and seasons.

The changing colours help us to recognise and join in the cycle of the Church’s year

The use of colour around the church serves to link together altar, lectern, pulpit and priest, which can help to focus the different elements of worship into a coherent whole.
